Apple, Apfel

The etimology of the words "apple" and the German "apfel" is the Wendish word "jab(o)lk(o)".

The evolution of the word goes: jabolko - jablk - ablk - abflk - apflk- apfl - apl (apple) The name for apple in modern Slovenian is still "jabolko" and this word derived from the Wendish word for a sphere "oblo" (je oblo ko = is spherical as).

Slovenians name the planet Earth "zemelska obla" (earth sphere)

The word "ball" also evolved from "oblo", "obel": obel - obl - bol

Bee, Biene, Apis,

All names for the honey bee "Apis Mellifera" derived from the Wendish word "piknla", that is still used in the same form in modern Slovenian language and means "it stung (me)".

Evolution of the word goes in many directions. The first is when the "k" got softer and changed into "ch". This changed the word "piknla" into "pichnla" and soon lost the sound "n" and got "pichla".

The word "pich(i)la" is also still used in modern Slovenian and has the same meaning as "piknla". Many younger Slavic languages use this softened "piknla" or "pichila" as the name for the honey bee. The word evolved into Serbian word "pćela" as it lost the first "i" and softened the "ch" even more into "soft ch" (soft "ch" is a sound between "tj" and "ch").

The German word "Biene" is nothing but "pikne" that evolved through pikne - pi(k)ne - piine - biine

The English word Bee is a shortened German word Biene. It evolved from biine - biin - bii

The Latin word Apis evolved from "ta pich" (this stings). "Ta pich" is still used in modern Slovenian language and means "this stings".
It is written with "č" instead of "ch" as "ta pič" The evolution went as follows: ta pich - apich - apish - apis.Slovenian language used "pichila" as buchela, bechela, bichela up to one hundred years ago.

But today we use the word "chebela" (čebela). The word "che - be - la" evolved from the word "be - che - la" many thousand years ago.

The name Sibylla evolved from the word chibila. It evolved chibila - tsibila - sibyla.

There is a hard evidence that this animal has very strong connections with Wends and Slovends (Slovenc). The best honey bee is called Apis mellifera carnica and it got its name from Carniola - a part of central Slovenia.

This all proves that modern Slovenian is the language closest to the language that was spoken in Europe long before any other language came around.

Sport

The modern word SPORT evolved from the Wendish word "sprt" that means "in conflict".

It is clear that in rough times many thousand years ago nobody didn't perform "sport" in a modern way. Nobody exercised for pleasure and fun then. Life was tough and there were just work and fight for life. The people who got "in conflict" (sprt) did fight for the cause.

The word "sport" is nowadays used much wider to express all kind of body exercise but initially, sport only meant a fight between two men or two groups with the goal of winning.

Roman name Spartacus is, in fact, the word "sp(o)rtnik" (sportsmen) and not someone's personal name.

Sparta is, in fact, the name for people with great success in fights and battles and evolved from the same word "sprt" or "sprta".

The word "sprt" is still used in the same form and with the same meaning in modern Slovenian language which is the best preserved Wendish language in our today's world.
